I can't offer any advice on your breeding question and the only comment I can make on the fruit and vegetable question is ...do not give raisens or grapes to a dog! I just found out they are toxic to dogs. My husband fed our black lab 4 grapes and we all paid dearly for it. We were up at 2 in the morning cleaning up diarrhea all over the house. I mentioned this to a girl I work with and she said she thought grapes were toxic to dogs so I did an internet search and sure enough they are! He is doing fine now other than being gassy and that is starting to get better. Onions (not that I would feed that to my dog) are also toxic to dogs. If you plan on giving your dog some fruits or veggies as treats, I would suggest looking on the internet first to see it is safe or not for your dog.
