Default My New Pup And My Yorkie

I want to thank you 3 who have been so kind to answer my help plea'' I guess I must be getting too old to handle much stress..63 last week haha
This morning for no reason other than wanting to play Howie my Yorkie really bit Mickey..such a yelp' I almost cryed..I yelled out of panic , i was right in the room but on the phone..I took the water bottle and gave him a good spray and he snapped and growled at the water and me..and he ran outside and i closed the sliding glass door to our patio where he could see me..
He now has gone into Mickey's small carrier, that used to be Howies it is on my hubby's chair..and he is too big for it..he's 8.8 lbs but he's staying put..
I sure hope it takes no longer than 2 weeks..I'll be ready for the looney bin by then if this keeps up..I feel so guilty cuz I wanted Howie to be less possessive of me with hubby..and thought he would love a new friend..
Thank you gals again from the bottom of my heart..I feel so much better after I read your caring and wise responses.
Susan
ps we are supposed to go out for a few hours tonight..Howie likes to hide under our bed but won't of course allow Mickey near it..Should i close the bedroom door, as he can stay hours now without going pee?
or should i lock Mickey in his playpen, and cover over with a blanket, it has no top and let Howie stay in the lvg room..Just to be close to him while we are out..god i sound like a pathetic child don't I..you think i would know some of this stuff by now..but this is our first small dog ever..Howie that is..sorry for going on so long...
