There's also this other liquid type stuff that I use on Deegan at night. I can't remember what it's called, but it's in a little bottle and I just put a few squirts on his teeth at night before bed and that helps keep plaque at bay. PM me and I can give you the exact name. I bought it from vet's office, it wasn't that expensive either.
