I have a singelton pup and since the day he crawled out of the whelping box he has gone on the pad, now at almost 8 weeks old when he has the run of the kitchen he will seek out the potty pad and go on it. he does much better than my 5 month old which i purchaced. how old are your babies & how many? you may have to put down a few and as they get better at hitting it start taking a couple away depending on how many pups you have. where my singelton sleeps i have it completely covered with pads cause i have carpet underneath but he seems to do his business to one side, where he plays he has 1 pad and hit's it 99.9%. when he runs the kitchen i have a couple down due to my other dogs being in there also but I have yet to clean up a mess from him in the kitchen he hits it everytime. good luck
