|Any help with this would be greatly appreciated..we have had the new pup for 3 days and have had a few incidents of snarling and biting already..a few times over food, toys, and my attentions..do you feed them totally at different times..away from one another..
the new pup has his own playpen which he seems to like goes in and out all day i keep the gate closed at night. my yorkie sleeps on the couch, in the same room. They play and run but other times the new pup is my yorkies 'shadow' and keeps jumping up and wanting to play he seems annoyed at times..retreats, to his own space..or snaps and has nipped hard..Do i punish him, time out, ignore him for a while..he knows he's done wrong cuz he;ll take off..then come over to the new pup and sniff him..as if to be sure he's okay? I am a nervous wreck as my yorkie can be aggressive and very possessive of me..and i only cuddle the new baby when he is not in the room or after he has been snapped at or worse bitten..how long does it take for the old pup to get used to the new one totally..is it weeks or days?
Sorry for sounding so stupid but I jsut get sick to think of the new little guy getting hurt..any suggestions on eating, sleeping, extra attention etc would be greatly appreciated..
