Aww I'm sorry you have asthma and that it prevents you from having birds now.
I have cockatiels (and have had them my whole life), but this is my first experience with a lovebird (or any bird other than a cockatiel). I am just in LOVE with her!
The two kiddos I keep during the week aren't allowed to have pets where they live (not even birds which I think is dumb). We are "sharing" Meisa. They love helping take care of her and we've had a blast learning all sorts of things about lovebirds.
