Quite a few people use it in MI but because it is toxic chemical and isn't absolutely necessary, I don't. We do use heartworm med because it is important. If Ellie got fleas I would bathe her in Dawn dish soap. If you are in an area where Lyme's Disease is a big problem, then you might need to use it.
