I carried VPI for the first year of Kacee's life. I carried in case there were any major illnesses. You just never know. Well, I dropped it at the end of the first year. She's healthy as a horse. Knock on wood at this point. I am self-insuring though. If she becomes ill with something major, I will be able to handle it financially. If I wasn't, then I would carry the pet insurance.
