My dh was repairing the roof on an old church one year, when he called me to come to the church on my lunch hour - he had something for me. I got all excited - flowers? jewelry? chocolate, even? I got there and he handed me a box with the butt-ugliest little creature that was obviously a nakkie bird, but way to big for anything I had ever seen. I took it home, showed my dtr(about 5 at the time) and we decided it was an eagle. I couldn't be with it to feed it so I took it to the vet who was in touch with a lady who took in orphaned animals of any age and raised them until they could be released. It turns out, it was a pigeon. My dtr never forgave me for letting her think she had saved an eagle, lol. Congrats on the babies and can't wait to see pics. BTW, what is the little yellow baby?
