We just purchased a steam cleaner today........ decided that instead of getting the carpets professionally cleaned 2-3 times a year, we would have it done once a year and then do it ourselves in between. I purchased a hoover at Walmart. Hopefully it will do what we need it to......... we don't have any MAJOR carpet problems as far as stains, but once in awhile we have an "oops" and it would be good to do an "overall" cleaning in addition to the spot cleaning.
