Welcome to YT and congrats on your new furbaby!
My best advice is to get her to go potty on the pad first and then let her play on the carpet for a little bit - but only after she's gone potty so that she doesn't have to go for a while yet. Then every hour or so put her back on the pad to go. This should emphasize that the pad is for potty and the carpet is for playing! Good luck!
