That just about sums it up!!! Maybe a couple more (I've only been on Oahu). We visited the Dole Pineapple plantation. It was beautiful and the gardens there are spectacular. Go to the Punchbowl (in Honolulu) and visit the veterans cemetery and read the memorial to the pacific battles in WWII - I'm not even a history buff and it was absolutely fascinating. Walk up to the top and the view is almost unparraleled. There is a rain forest tour you can take just outside of Honolulu. It's guided by a ranger and very very interesting and informative. The waves on the north shore of Oahu are GIGANTIC so take your high zoom camera to get some pix of master surfers and they tame those waves!!!
