Yes it is very hard.
One time at a pet store (abput a year ago) there was a puppy...that I fell in love with. I named him Sebastian and I would have taken him home on the spot. I was so depressed until I got home and read myself up some more on puppy mills to remind myself why I just
couldn't buy him.
