Just a suggestion: I recommend that you go for a "consultation visit" before making any plans to have your dog treated by a new vet.
I researched a few vets in the Chicago area and visited five before choosing Roscoe Village Animal Hospital. When Lola came home I was ready to take her in for her first checkup and I was certain the staff was qualified to care for my girl. We've only been going there since April, that's when I brought Lola home, but we both love it.
