Default New to the Forum! Quick Question..

Hi Everyone!
Me and my girlfriend are new to YT and just wanted to post and say how grateful we are from all the information we've received from the forum. We are brand new puppy owners, just brought home our new girl Jackamo who is 9 weeks old last Saturday. She has been absolutely amazing and extremely smart. Aside from the first night she now uses her pee pad flawlessly and is even sleeping through the night. I was also able to get some great tips in the training section on getting her to sit on command!
Being new puppy owners we do have lots of questions. We living in a condo which is basically all carpet, we were told by our breeder to avoid having her on the carpet at all times because she'll love it and want to pee on it. So we have her in a gated tile section with all her belongings(food, water, toys, crate, pee pad) and she absolutely loves it. Our question is, how long should we wait till we introduce her to the carpet? I do work at home and am able to watch her all the time. Eventually we would like her to be able to play in the living room and not always have her gated off. We're just wondering if we should introduce her to the carpet now while she's still young, or wait till she's older.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. And sorry for the long post
