I have bred many larger champion males..in the 6, even 7 pound range to bitches in the 5 pound range...never had a problem. I had a 6 1/2pound champion who sired exceptionally small puppies...knowing the line is most important...a 3 pound stud can have a 9 pound sire..a 7 pound stud can have a 3 pound sire...
