I must have "special" yorkies, because I think both of mine are super easy to train. Taz was 10 mos old when I got him and he only knew sit and shake. (Occasionally) I started "clicker" training him and he picks things up really quickly. Now he sits, lays down, shakes, high five, rings the bell to go out (still working on that, but he now rings the bell himself), stay, sit up and now sit up and turn around. (Dance).
Gabby is 14 mos old and really didn't know any commands. She now sits, lays down and stays. She is picking up quickly because of Taz though.
