I got Harls when she about 10-11 weeks old, and due to the circumstances, I was only able to spend 3 days with her before I had to start going to work.

I leave her in the master bathroom with a babygate blocking the door. I leave the tv in the bedroom on (animal planet) and a lot of sunlight comes thru the bedroom windows so it is not dark.

In the bathroom, I have her crate, with bed, almost all her toys (a wide variety) and a bowl of water. When she was younger, I used to leave food during the day because I did not want her blood sugar getting low. Now, I stuff a kong with kibble and a few snacks and she eats that during the day. (I thought the kong would give her something to chew on, but she just bats at it until the food falls out). I also leave her some potty pad by tub, which is away from her bed and play area.

I play with her in the morning and a lot at night. And I take her on walks and practice her commands with her when I get home.

She does fine. She is always happy when I come home and she really doesn't make much noise during the day (I have a roommate who tells me - he won't let her out. He doesnt want to watch her).

When I am home all day (weekend or "sick" day) she usually spends most of the sleeping, which I imagine she does a majority of the time while I am gone anyway.
