Default Concerns about working full-time

Hi,

I have a soon 10 week old male Yorkie puppy and we have had him in our home about 2 weeks. He is so cute but has some of the other 'issues' I have seen discussed here (chewing, biting, whining). I have no experience with the breed and he is my first dog as an adult.

I am able to work from home, luckily, at least until the end of this week. I am nervous about leaving him when I work. I will put him in a large steel crate for his safety (no chewing on wires, baseboards, etc) and will walk him before work and after.

I am looking for some advice if anyone has gone through a similar situation and has some tips and comfort for me in going to work. I know it is ideal to be at home, but we need two incomes and one income just does not work for us.

Thank you all in advance for your help and understanding.
