Thanks for the info. One of my dogs was vomiting for three days--it was over the weekend and the vet was closed. He wouldn't eat, but he continued to drink water. My biggest concern was that he stay hydrated. The morning of the fourth day (when I was about to take him to the vet), he began again and was back to himself almost immediately. I later learned that by making them fast, if there is any intestinal inflammation, not eating will allow the inflammation to go away (this is one of the things vets recommend with pancreatitis). It worked for my dog--he seemed to know he shouldn't eat.
