How sad...but I'm happy you were there to save the pup. I have had the same situation and thankfully I keep the number to the sheriff's department in my wallet.
But I will definitely be printing some papers off. I am also going to print off some ''teacup" papers...that way when someone asks me if she is a teacup I can hand them some info on the myth of a teacup.
When I had my yorkie people would tell me that and I would say..." no she's a yorkie."
I take my BF's chihuahua everywhere here. But I have a few doggie purses to use when I get my yorkie
