It usually happens whe you add something to the water. I knew that, too. That's why I called my action stupid.

The water does not appear to be 'boiling'...no little bubbles or anything. However, the molecules are very excited and as soon as something touches the water, it reacts violently and sets those little bugger OFF!

I am actually very blessed in all of this. I will have blisters, but little ones and in sporadic places down the length of my thumb. All of it hurts but that will go away soon enough except for the blistered part.

I am thankful. Very thankful.
