I know what you mean, too. When I first started hangin around here, I mostly just read old posts and stuff in order to learn. I was a little shy to post. I got over it....I try to respond to posts more than start threads, that way people get to know you, then eventually start to recognize you/your avatar and respond to your posts...at least that's my hypothesis.

I have a confession: I take a little guilty pleasure in reading the "drama" although I rarely respond, unless I feel I can add objectivity to it. It's interesting to hear everyone's perspective and how very different it can be depending on your geographical or cultural environment.
Although, I do tend to be one to avoid confrontation, could be a good or bad trait depending on the situation. :-)
