Oh my goodness!!! I took my puppy for her first groom today and when I picked her up she was BALD!!!! When I dropped her off I told them just wash, brush, and clip her nails and maybe a cute bow, right?? I was in shock to see her shaved except for her head. She looks pitiful. She is only 3 months and weighs about 2.5 lbs. The groomer said she was knotted underneath and to comb through it would have broke blood capalarers(sp). To make things even worse, my puppy was completely stressed and the groomer shamed me for "babying" her. It was a horrible experience and too much to go into detail. However, my question is .... How long will it take for the fur to grow back. Also, before the shave she was light brown with a black stripe down her back. Now she is white with a hint of black. Will her color change? What color will she be. Does puppy fur grow fast? Did this change the texture? One more thing, I need pupppy clothes. I looked around today and found XS t-shirt but it was too big on her and she kept getting her hind leg caught. I'm worried she is going to freeze at my home because we like to keep the house very cool and she is very sensitive to temp changes.
