Before I got my second yorkie, I joined a local dogpark and Chloe just loved it. I met some terrific people. When the weather is nice, which is about 10 months out of the year here in Fl, we would gather around and chat about our puppies. My park was separated into sizes, with a large pond in the back for everyone but each owner, of course, had to control their own dog or leave the park. Chloe, who was about 3 lbs at that time would take on the largest of the large, yorkies do not know they are small dogs. Her most fun time was chasing and being chased by a little pug named Winston. When I fenced in 1/4 acre in my backyard and got Lacey, I stopped going, it is quite a drive from my house, but I still miss it sometimes. We could pay by the day or trial for 3 months, which is a good way to test it out. |
