Most groomers want to see puppy soon after they have had all their shots. If it is a good groomer it will set them up for good grooming experiences for life. If it's a bad groomer, well, I can't imagine that would be beneficial.
While I really like my groomer, I decided to start grooming Ranger myself. It's actually kind of fun!!
As far as the mats, my boy got really, really bad right at about nine months old. My groomer suggested we do a short cut to get rid of the puppy hair. It is now growing in a beautiful silver/blue silk. Good luck!! |
