If you did not receive an official invitation then I'd say NO, i wouldn't go. Save yourself the money and spend it on a fabulous dress for you for the wedding!
(sorry Im in bridal shower hell lately with a wedding im IN soon haha) Then just give her a wedding gift of money. Thats easy enough.
