One of the guys a work just did it. You have to be 100 or more lbs over weight from what he told me. You go through seeing a nutritionist and they put you on a diet to see if it works...sometimes you need that structure. If that doesn't then they look into counseling you for the procedure. It takes several months to get it approved. Not a quick fix at all and not all insurances will cover the procedure in it's entirety. I know we have good insurance and mario had to pay $2500 out of pocket. He was very heavy and tried his best to get back down to a normal weight.

He stayed out two weeks post surgery then came back to work. He has lost 40 lbs but he is very sick and felt weak so he is back on disability.
