It's been a long time since I canceled the classmates.com thing, so I can't even remember exactly how I did it, but I honestly don't remember ever having to call to do it  Unless they changed it now? I'm sure most people don't even want to mess with having to call them - and I guess that's just their sneaky little way of trying to keep their members around  | Yeah, I bet you are right... most people probably wouldn't go through the effort of calling them. I know I will be calling (and threatening  ) them tomorrow!
