Sandy is 3 and she still has the first stuffed animal we bought for her. (A pink duck.) It was bigger than she was and she loved to snuggle with it. As she got a little older, she did the same thing your little girl is doing. This is the only stuffed animal she has ever done it to. And even though it has very little fur left in some areas, and it has been patched so many times, she will still do that every once in a while.
