Thank goodness for moms!! I scheduled Indy's surgery for next Friday. I have to drop him off Thurs night because the center is 2 hours away from my house. He said that if all goes well he will be there Fri night and probably all day Sat, but maybe discharge Sat PM or Sun depending on how he's doing. I'm scared to death but I know that this is my only option, so prayers will be good! You guys are the best and I can't tell you how much I appreciate the help and support!! I'll keep you posted. |
River, I am so happy that you are letting your mom do this for you. SO MANY TIMES, our kids think we cannot afford to help them in the way we want and it hurts us. She will be ever so much more happy knowing that she, at her age, made a contribution to you and your baby. I know of what I speak..I am 68 and my kids have occasionally told me to just use my money for things I want or need. Well, that is exactly what I and your mom, are trying to do. Use our money for something we "want"
OOPS, I didn't mean to get up on my soapbox, but, once again, I did! Terri Shumsky who died recently, was such a wonderful person and worked so hard to help find the gene that causes PSS. That was her contribution and she was the driving force in the FannieMae livershunt research. They try to help PSS babies when they can.
Good Luck and I will say extra prayers for you and yours.
