 Why Does Amelia Grace Have To Grow Up So Fast?
This past weekend I went to the supermarket to get a few things and Amelia rode round in the kiddie seat on the trolley. Up untill that day she had only ever gone round the supermarket in one of the trolleys that has a baby seat rather than a kid's one. As I'm walking round I'm watching her taking everything in... turning her head from side to side, people watching, holding onto the rail in front of her... suddenly she looked so grown up I could of burst into tears right there and then in the middle of the store!
Today she rolled for the every first time from her tummy to her back without any help and just last week she started bouncing up and down on me if I hold her standing on my knee. She's eating 3 meals of solids a day and hardly nursing at all. She will drink juice from a beaker and hold it herself. She holds her hands out for everything she wants and can shout for my attention to pick her up.
Where, oh where did the past few months go? Where is my sweet newborn who slept all day long, just waking for feeds? I finally understand why everyone kept telling me to treasure her first few weeks... they really don't stay babies for long!!! |
