I certainly hope that nobody falls for these scams! Those people are fakers and liars and I wish there was some rule about them posting this crap! I thought the same thing as you - if they really loved the baby, and wanted what was best for it's well being they wouldn't be shipping it half way across the bloody world, they would find someone to take care of it there, or never had flew her there... They don't care and there probably isn't even a dog - it's all a money makin' scheme.
