Nine is a big litter for Yorkies.

I've occassionally kept two out of the same litter if it's been a particularly good mating that I've had high hopes for in the show ring. My two youngest Skye girls,18 months old now, are litter mates, as are some of my old Cairns. I find it's swings & roundabouts, some ways it's harder with two growing up together, especially with Skyes, but in other ways it's far easier.

Don't you let them off the lead at all in the garden?
We live high on the moors as well but, even though I have geese & poultry in two of our fields, the dogs are free to run off lead on our own land.
