Yes, the pic is recent. It was taken at my sisters house December '07. And he is in good health to be an "older boy" :-) All of my animals seem to live longer than average.. My other dog lived to be 21 years (he was a stray mutt, and even recovered from heartworms). I also had a kitty that lived to be 19. So I'm hoping that Milo stays around another 10 years
