Hi....I have A Creative brand web cam and like it a lot. As with any web cam, just make sure the room is bright with natural light if possible. The Creative cam I have also has tracking. I can set it to take snap shots or start filming video if something or someone moves in the room. If I remember correctly, I paid around $25.00 at Walmart but I've seen this brand at a number of stores. Also, once you get your cam set up in your house, you can go to earthcam.com(free to do) and put your cam on there to view live feed from any computer, which is what I think you had in mind? Cams are fairly easy to set up. Usually just install the drivers and connect the cam and you should be good to go.There are many brands out there, just make sure you get at least a 1.3 mega pixel. If you have a fairly new computer, you should have no problem meeting all the sysytem requirements necessary to run the cam. Hope this helps and good luck! |
