I'm sorry to hear that your girl has a pyometra. i don't understand why they aren't taking her to surgery right away. of course she is going to have a fever, she has a raging infection in her uterus. Surgery should be preformed asap. Once the body cavity is open the temp will surely go down. after surgery, fluids and antibiotics can be administered to treat the infection and subsequently the fever will go down.
Good luck to your little girl in surgery. I hope things go well. i'm sorry you have to learn about the positives of spaying in this negative way. Hopefully others will learn from this. its much easier to have your healthy puppy spayed at 6 months then have to put them thru a pyo or worse.
