When Baron was young (under 6 months old) I always had it around. (the breeder sent him home with Karo syrup).
Especially liked it for any kind of travel, I'd give him a tiny bit every few hours to make sure he wouldn't go hypoglycemic. But a little really goes a LONG way.
~I had a puppy with renal failure who refused to eat and went hypoglycemic, so I'm ultra-cautious now.
But Nancy1999 brought up a very important point, too much sugar can be just as dangerous. So only use it if your puppy isn't eating regularly and watch the quantity.
