This was a news article. I thought it was interesting that China recognizes how distasteful this is for many visitors that will be coming there for the Olympics and made this concession.

I believe that any subject should be able to be discussed. It is not the subject that causes the problem but a lack of restraint on the parts of some. Opinions can be stated without having things 'go off' the deep end if a level of respect is maintained for each other's opinions.

It's a point of interest and was posted as such. It doesn't have to be bad. If it is a choice of some to take it to a bad place, that is regrettable. I respect the opinions of others as should we all. If I feel tremendously negative about an opinion, I can state such without being disrespectful of others. Self restraint is a very good trait to have and when on public boards should be exercised. We could be talking about peaches and cream and someone could take that to a bad place if they desired. It is the choice of the individual and not the subject that brings on the problem.
