When I make or buy bows I want them to be as hard as a rock when I'm done They should be very stiff as they do last longer that way and they just look better when they are very stiff.

I've never ordered from you so I have no idea what size you use. I buy bands that are the 5/16" size, and it seems like the bows I buy have bands that size as well. I usually wrap the band on a bow twice after I already have the topknot put up with a grooming band.

I personally prefer bands myself, but many people do prefer barrettes. Almost anything could be a choking hazard...it's all about being careful. I think it's a good idea for bow-makers to offer a barrette option for those that prefer it.
