Does he look skinny? You might try monitoring his weight closely and see if he's losing weight. If not, don't worry. Yorkies don't eat a heck of a lot of food. I feed mine a quarter cup of kibble twice a day, and he GAINS weight. Of course, some of that is due to the fact that he gets treats on top of that when he practices his obedience skills. But just because a dog doesn't wolf down his food doesn't mean he's sick.

I have no advice about the water, though. That does seem unusual for him to be drinking that much. I'd check with the vet.

One last thought: Mine were picky eaters, too, and I finally broke down and started adding a teaspoonful of high-quality canned (merrick) to their meals. Then they started wolfing it down. I just have to monitor their portions a lot more closely.
