Tammy I heard the heartbeats at 6 weeks. But I had to take her to my room and mute the tv. She laid very still and I pet her head while I searched abdomen sides. Then all of a sudden I heard a faint super fast thump,thump,thump sound.I quicky put it over her chest to hear Lola's heartbeat and it was so much slower.And you really cant hear your dog's heartbeat all the way down the lowest part of her abdomen. By the 7th week the heartbeats were easy to find and hear. I always heard 1 puppy heartbeat really loud and fastest.I felt it would be a strong pup. The other two were lower sound but still fast .
