they are dissolvable....they will dissolve...if they dont in 4 weeks....then the vet may tell you to snip it close to the skin...but it will probably just fall off....if it is not inflammed it should be ok....but if you are concerned then by all means call your vet...always better to be safe than sorry.....good luck
