I'm sure your babies will adjust just fine. I really do believe it much more difficult for us humans to adjust to our babies losing their sight. Last Jan. our chocolate yorkie, Chunk was diagnosed with retinal degeneration at the age of nine months. He is almost now completely blind now. When the specialist gave us the diagnoses I felt like the world just collapsed on me. I'll never forget her words of He's almost completely blind and it is not treatable, nothing can be done for him. I quickly snapped out of my depression and conformed our home to best suit Chunk. The dr said our other dogs were basically Chunk's eye seeing dogs so we put bells on their collars, gated our pool, because before of his diagnoses Chunk kept falling into the pool. We do not move our furniture around and try not to leave things out of place. He has adjusted very well and we expect him to have a very fulfilling life with a bunch of love.
