Aren't they AWESOME???? I used to see them every year (or almost every year) at the Hawaii Ironman.....you cannot even imagine how grueling the Hawaii Ironman is, no matter how many times you've done it....the wind on the bike leg has actually knocked people off their bikes at times....and these two just keep on keepin' on....the most inspiring thing is, that there have been times when Dick and Ricky didn't finish in the 17 hours that you have to be an official finisher, but awhile after midnight, when some of the other competitors are trickling in, here will come Dick and Ricky. And a lot of people stay at the finish line just to watch them come in and to applaud them. It makes me cry just thinking about it. I am proud to say that the Hoyts are collegues of mine; they are what inspires the best in all of us esp. when you're out there in intense heat and thinking "I HURT SO BAD, maybe I should stop"....then you see them on the other side of the road and realize how lucky you really are
