 not eating

Sometimes my girls will not eat well, other times they eat me out of house and home. First, I would be concerned with the stool, have the vet check her out. As for eating, they do not need extra calcium before whelping, if you give too much , she won't produce milk on her own, her body will stop producing natural calcium. One thing I was able to get my girl to eat when she was pregnant was a raw diet. I went out and got her raw chicken square, they had lamb, beef, turkey, duck etc. They say on the bag under normal conditions a 5 lb dog only needs 2 squares a day, I doubled it and tripled it. She is still eating them now along with her dry while she is nursing. The squares are loaded with nutrition. If she won't take pet tab, and if you don't want to force it on her, get Pet Tinic from your vet. You can squirt that down.
