Maybe I missed something??? IV for what?? Stay 4 hours for what??? Aiden is 5 mo. He went to the vet 3 times total since I got him at 8 wks. We don't use Lepto in our area, per my vet ..he doesn't use it,because out of the 52 uses for it Lepto covers 2...Why bother. It's out West and we're upsate N.Y. but back to the shots. Aiden has 3 vet visits. First visit was weight.examined pvts and head to toe exam .He was given some oral meds once and two shots. The other ones were sub Q. One in the back of the neck and second one in hind leg-two different spots(so we would know if there was a reaction, and what it was from) He got 2 sots at a time max!!! Rabies once at last visit ,and Lyme twice and distemper twice at first and second visits. Aiden hated the Lyme, but when he had his first set of shots, the vet advised me that the little ones need baby asprin prn afterwards for fever and joint discomfort, all normal reactions. I've had no problems with any of my animals with this Vet and their shots, including my 3 cats. My vet is part of our family, and he never charges me unnecessary charges. Aiden is going to be spayed at 6 mo. in August. When he's under he will pull any un needed baby teeth,at no extra charge. Look for another vet. They are treating your family members!!! It should not be about money as much as a love and interest in taking care of animals. My vet trained under his grandfather, and father all now retired vets. Curt just opened a new vet clinic, further from his old place of business, now on his own,but he's worth the drive, and I've referred so many people to him that he gives me alot of treatment for little or no costs!!!
