I know exactly how you feel. My non yorkie Spicy has gone slowly blind. She will be 9 in Oct. She is 3.5 lbs of pure Papillion. I see her bump into things now and want to carry her everywhere. The vet said it is not a good idea but make her adjust and learn to move more slowly and be more careful. I have a fish pond outside and worry about it but she grew up around it so as long as I watch her she should be OK. It took awhile to get used to the light blue cloudy look in her eyes. She has tripped twice going down stairs and it tears my heart out ot not pick her up and carry her. I know though it is not really in her best interest to do it.

I joke to people I will be buying her a eye seeing person soon.

She still loves life and enjoys her treats that I literally put in her mouth as she cannot see them.

Your little girl is beautiful and just be happy you will be able to help her age gracefully.

Hugs to you and her,

Jeri
