Little Maggy May , you need to stay calm until you are all healed. I am glad you were able to catch it, and get her into the vet fast. That must have been very scary to have to deal with. My Suzi needs to be spayed, and it will be in Sept. I could see her doing that too. They start feeling better before the wound is al healed. Poor Maggy just wanted to play with your niece. Keeping her in the crate is a good idea until she is healed.
