Not to start a bunch of arguments, but IMHO paying for a mix just perpetuates people breeding them. I can see paying for the vet costs of the puppy that the breeder put out, but only if it is an accidental breeding. I think mixes are adorable and I would rescue one and love it to pieces, but I wouldn't pay someone so they could continue to breed mixes.
